The 2014 ISSA/INTERCLEAN trade show brought together thousands of janitorial supply distributors, building service contractors, product manufacturers and top executives to drive innovation, productivity and profitability in the cleaning industry. The event boasted five co-located events, numerous workshops and education seminars, more than 700 global suppliers and 16,000 industry leaders from 78 countries. The trade show, co-produced by ISSA and its trade partner Amsterdam RAI, took place November 4-7 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
New
to the show this year were four keynote speakers spread throughout the week. Presenters
included international speaker, mountain climber, business and sales executive
Susan Ershler; bestselling business author Marcus Buckingham; famed basketball
coach Rick Pitino; and boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard. Also for the first time
this year, ISSA offered education sessions after the exhibit hall closed on the
final day of the show. Attendees learned about the trends shaping the cleaning
industry with Dave Frank, how to treat your business like an investment with
Peter Holton, and what it takes to be a true professional from Anthony
Trombetta.
Throughout the convention attendees used the show's mobile app to cast their votes for exhibitors who best met their needs, answered questions, offered solutions and provided outstanding interaction during the event. For the second consecutive year, Advance was named an ISSA Best Customer Service Award Winner.
